Construction Clean Up Branson, MO- Fossil Store

Cleaning the new Fossil Store in Branson, MO had several similarities to the archeologists often seen on TV and movies searching for ancient fossils of dinosaurs or skeletons.

The site was dirty, covered in dust from floor to ceiling, hiding the beauty that lay below. With careful precision and execution, Brokate Janitorial tediously and cautiously removed layer after layer of dust careful not to damage the important items that were needing restored. Much like the ancient fossils archeologists delicately clean so that they can study and learn the history of them, Brokate Janitorial knows the importance and value of having a construction site fully and properly cleaned so that the new building occupants can fully utilize and appreciate the space.

Floor Work- Scrub and Wax for Dorgan Weaver Apartments

Dorgan Weaver Apartments called on Brokate Janitorial for some floor work to help bring back their floor's shine. While we have seen hard floors damaged far worse than this, it is always a good idea to address a problem before it gets out of hand.

It truly is amazing how much better an entire place can look with a proper floor care plan in place!

Check out the Slideshow below to see how the job progressed.

Citizen's Academy Welcomes Resident Involvement in Branson Government

Photobucket
Over the past few months, Brokate Janitorial's own Office Manager, Jeremy Brokate, took part in Branson's Citizens Academy.  The class is an 8-week course designed to showcase the various departments of the city and learn how each one operates to keep the city functioning. The course allows citizens to ask and learn how each department operates and integrates plenty of hands-on experiences to make the course not only educational, but fun as well. Through this course, Jeremy was able to tour the Branson Police Station, Water Treatment Plants and Water Tower, Fire Department, Recycling Center and Rec-Plex/Parks Department, Finance Department, Engineering and Planning and Zoning Departments and the City Hall, Courts and Clerk Department. Each department welcomed questions and comments from the  class participants showing just how open and transparent Branson's City Government really is.

Relay For Life- Branson Unites for Worthy Cause

June 4th was truly a night to remember in Branson, MO. The Branson Cedar Ridge Elementary school was packed full of cars, with hundreds of people packed onto the track to give their time, money and energy to raise money for cancer research. Relay for Life is one of Branson's biggest fundraising events of the year and this year certainly didn't disappoint.

It was Brokate Janitorial's first year to lead it's own team to raise money and participate in the event and certainly won't be it's last. "It was a really cool experience to see just how many people in our community came out excited and stayed all through the night for such a worthy cause." said Senior Account Manager Jason Brokate.

"I've gone the last few years to support other teams, and the experience was much more exciting this time around having a team of our own to go through everything with. We are all excited to double our efforts next year, and have already begun thinking of fundraising ideas. This time was a learning experience for us all and next year we will be much more prepared and enthusiastic." said Team Leader Margie Brokate.

Besides raising money to help find a cure for cancer, the event also pays tribute to those who have lost their lives from the terrible disease during it's touching Luminaria Ceremony.

For those who missed out on the event, but are still interested in donating, it's not too late to donate for 2010's Relay for Life! Click Here and then select the Donate button to give your contribution. Donations can be raised for 2010 until August 31st.

Brokate Janitorial's new mission statement has been created with a purpose. From every level of our growing janitorial company, we have devoted ourselves to improving the way office cleaning is performed and perceived. It is certainly true that there are many other great janitorial companies that exist around the United States. In fact, Brokate Janitorial communicates regularly with many other companies around the United States that belong to the Global Cleaning Association to discover new ideas, products and methods for everything cleaning related. It's important to have a network of peers to gather together to implement best practices for handling things like the H1N1 Influenza, learning new ways to clean "green" while not driving up costs and how to give customers the most "Bang for their Buck."

Brokate Janitorial hopes to continue to service more and more businesses in Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Branson and Hollister areas that are looking for both quality and value. Spring to Action! What Springfield, Ozark, Nixa and Branson Businesses need to do NOW!

It's officially Spring, and every good cleaning company knows what that means! No, not Spring Cleaning, but baseball season. You see while many individuals and companies see Spring as a chance to focus on cleaning things up a bit, Brokate Janitorial works around-the-clock, all year long to prevent that need for "Spring Cleaning."

Instead, we are able to continue to "Play Ball" in our facilities for both our day and night cleans. Baseball season, however, is something we can definitely get excited about. While I won't speak on behalf of everybody at Brokate Janitorial, I can say that many look forward to rooting for both the Springfield and St. Louis Cardinals and Albert Pujols for another season. Last year, we marveled along with all of baseball as Pujols finished his season batting .327 and hitting 47 home runs, proving yet again that he is one of the most consistent hitters in baseball. That equates to 186 hits out of 568 at-bats. That means that the best player in baseball failed to get a hit in his other 382 at-bats. While baseball players are afforded the luxury of being able to make mistakes day-in and day-out, many of us are not so lucky.

Each profession has a different margin of error. Some mistakes are far more costly than others, while some professions allow for a certain level of mistakes due to the complexity of the job. In the commercial cleaning industry, companies expect near perfection from the companies they hire to come to bat for them each night. Medical facilities need to be sterile for the next day's patients and offices need to be cleaned, dusted and ready for another day of taking care of business. Sales offices need clean areas for both themselves to mentally prepare for the next pitch, as well as any clients they may encounter face-to-face so that the focus can be on their product or service and not the cobwebs.

This is why establishing a clear "game plan" from the start is essential before ever stepping in the box(facility). While the margin of error is much smaller than baseball, cleaning companies need to be prepared for inevitable errors and mistakes. This is where the importance of having a good management team is essential. Like a batter struggling at the plate, a good cleaning company needs to have the proper oversight and direction to keep it's players doing the correct things, consistently.

A good manager knows how to utilize the strengths and weaknesses of each member of his team, which spots to use them in and when to bench them. Many of the decisions are not easy, but having management in place that takes action and continues to work towards improving the team each and every day, gives everybody the greatest chances of success.

How has your cleaning company adapted to your evolving needs?

If you feel your cleaning coming may be playing "small-ball" to your Big-League needs, give Brokate Janitorial a call at (417) 338-4809 to go to bat for you. Our players and management will give your stadium the home-field advantage every company needs!

Heroes of the Night

Brokate Janitorial Super Heros

The lights of the city go out. Buildings all over town become prime targets for those creatures of the night. The darkness of a building triggers them to action. For Brokate Janitorial, this is much like the Bat-signal, that shines out of a building in need.

For many accounts, their nightly facility cleaners are either considered heroes or villains. They either fly into their account each night and transform their building into a sparkling clean-slate by morning for all to enjoy, OR they are the much talked and griped about villains that do as little as possible each night. Some facilities go through Joker after Joker looking for that caped-crusader of the night to finally show up and save the day.

Getting the right hero to show up and make your facility look exactly how you want it to is, however, more complicated than simply opening up the telephone book and calling everyone listed. Establishing a clear set of tasks that you would like to be performed from the start makes the chances of a successful cleaning program much higher. The second point, is getting input from everybody in the office and letting them all know what is and isn't going to be expected from the outfit you hire.

Creating a nightly cleaning program for your facility can be as easy or complicated as somebody wants to make it. It can be as cheap or as costly too. Some very important questions to ask when looking to restore the balance between cost and results are:

1.) Is your company licensed, bonded and insured? It only takes one door left unlocked, alarm not set, chemicals spilling on a computer or expensive machine, broken glass pane...the list can go on and on, to make that cheap cleaning guy/lady suddenly seem like the MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE option. Or how about hiring somebody like this:

Osage Beach Police say Cleaning Lady Stole Clients' Property

2.) How is the cleaning program going to be trained, monitored, inspected and followed-up with to ensure Quality Assurance?

3.) How well is your company at adapting to the changes of our facility? Whether it be rapid growth or expansion or cutting back in a sluggish economy, it is important to be able to communicate with your company the current needs and have them react quickly.

Here at Brokate Janitorial, we are not only happy to answer all of the questions above, but we also go into each facility with a list of questions, ideas and suggestions to help create a custom cleaning program that will work for you. We want to form a lasting relationship that will leave both sides feeling mutual appreciation.

In the words of Enrique Iglesias, Brokate Janitorial kindly asks you to, "Let Me Be Your Hero"

A Tough Economy, an Even Tougher America

Another year has come and gone. For most people 2009 was a tough year that won't be missed. With unemployment rates very high across the nation, the economy in Southwest Missouri was feeling some of that impact too. Tourism was down, but not gone. A few companies went under, while many others made tough decisions on how to cut expenses and who to lay off. Yet many people remain hopeful and confident in our country to get back on it's feet and back into prosperity.

For Brokate Janitorial, 2009 was a year of milestones. This year Brokate Janitorial gained more business, hired more employee's and went into unchartered waters with new business ventures. All year, the focus of everybody within the company was keeping focused on the task at hand and doing our absolute best at it. We all have felt so fortunate to serve so many businesses in 417 Land and provide more and more families with a means to support themselves.

With so many more people in our area looking for work, trying to keep their businesses afloat, the importance of doing business locally cannot be understated. Not only will you be directly helping the businesses you choose to support, but in turn the dollars they receive will then be passed on to another local business. It's a ripple effect that could have tremendous ramifications if everybody did their part to help one another out.

After all, it's up to us individually and as a community to help each other out and not rely on our government to come to our rescue with handouts. Our company is an absolute believer in the American Dream and idea that anybody can succeed if they are willing to "roll-up their sleeves," not be afraid to get a little dirty and do what needs to be done.

According to Jeremy Brokate, Office Manager for Brokate Janitorial, this year's motto is "First and 10, let's do it again!" He goes on to explain, "We were very fortunate to have such a great year last year. We give all the praise and credit to the hard-working employees of our company that did such a great job in every facet of our business. We just want to keep that momentum going and inch closer to that goal."

Hopefully this nose-to-the-ground, never-give up attitude that is instilled in so many Americans can bring this nation back on its feet quickly and moving in the right direction again.
